Choosing HP Toner Cartridge
Changing a HP toner cartridge is a simple process. First, the old cartridge must be removed before the new one can be inserted. The top of the printer must be removed and the HP toner cartridge extracted with little effort. It should pull up and out, away from the printer easily. It is important to take note of how the HP toner cartridge fit into the printer when taking it out because the new cartridge will fit in exactly the same way.
By noting its position as it comes out, the process of putting the new one back in is made easier. The new cartridge should slide easily into place, taking the exact position of the old cartridge. However, if the cartridge does not fit in easily on the first try, ease the cartridge out and slowly try realigning and inserting it into the printer again. Should the cartridge still fail to fit into the printer, the time has come to check the series number of the printer and the cartridge to make sure that they match. It is important to note that two different series number will never be compatible and you must purchase a different toner cartridge with the correct corresponding series number.
After the cartridge is correctly fitted inside of the printer, it is important to run a test printout. This is an important step; it is the concluding step of the process of changing the toner cartridge and cannot be skipped under any account. This is how each user is able to check their work. Only after they are given a successful run of a test printout is their work truly finished.
If the cartridge does not pass the test, but is inserted properly, try replacing the cartridge again with a new one still because sometimes cartridges can be defected. If the cartridge is defected it, it must be disposed of immediately. One way to prevent cartridges from becoming damaged is to keep them out of extended light because they are light sensitive.
